Process of Processing Stainless Steel with a Surface Lapping and Polishing Machine
Stainless steel, renowned for its excellent corrosion resistance, superior mechanical properties, ease of machining with surface grinding and polishing equipment, and outstanding weldability, has become a widely preferred engineering material. Moreover, by employing various polishing techniques, it’s possible to achieve surfaces of differing grades on stainless steel sheets, tubes, bars, and profiled materials, significantly enhancing their aesthetic appeal and enabling them to meet high design standards. For different metal materials, diverse application scenarios, and varying surface requirements of metal components, it’s essential to select the appropriate grinding method—or even combine several techniques—to ensure that the finished parts fully satisfy the demands of their intended use.

Several forms of the double-sided grinding machine processing method
1. Dry Grinding: During dry grinding, only a small amount of lubricant additive needs to be applied to the surface of the grinding tool. The abrasive grains remain largely fixed on the tool throughout the process, and their cutting action is primarily achieved through sliding abrasion. While this method isn’t highly productive, it can deliver exceptionally high machining accuracy and produce surfaces with very low roughness values (Ra 0.02–0.01 μm).
